Ingredients:
- 4 large pears
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- Cinnamon or nutmeg, to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Slice the pears down the middle, the long way, and lay halves on a baking sheet, with the skin of the pears facing down.
- Use the butter to spread on the top of pears, about 1/2 tablespoon on each pear half.
- Layer maple syrup on top of the pears and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon or nutmeg.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes, or until soft. Serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
